Our work is often seen through the lens of buildings, plans, approvals, documentation, and project delivery. But behind every project is a community. Commercial or Industrial designs are not just about what gets built. It is also about understanding the people, businesses, families, sporting groups, and local networks that shape the places we work in.


That is why community involvement matters to us.


As a Sydney-based building design firm, we are proud to support initiatives and networks that bring people together, create opportunities, and strengthen the communities around us. From local sport and fundraising events to business networking groups, our involvement reflects a simple belief: strong communities are built through connection, contribution, and shared purpose.



Supporting Local Sport Through Our SOFC Partnership


We are glad to be part of a meaningful partnership with Sydney Olympic Football Club, (SOFC) alongside Collappor8.


We believe sport has a powerful role in bringing people together. It creates discipline, confidence, teamwork, leadership, and a sense of belonging. For young players, families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters, a football club can be much more than a place to train and compete. It can become part of the local community fabric.


Our involvement also aligns with our broader interest in the spaces that support community participation, including sporting facilities, change rooms, club environments, and future-focused community infrastructure.


For us, this partnership is about contributing to an environment where people can connect, participate, and feel supported.

Supporting Refinery 24


On 27 and 28 June 2026, The Refinery Studio brought the local community together around one simple but powerful challenge: keep one treadmill running continuously for 24 hours.

Members, trainers, community leaders, families, and supporters each took their turn. Step by step, the relay became more than a fitness challenge. It became a symbol of endurance, resilience, and the strength people need when facing life’s hardest moments.


The message behind the event was clear: we can run so others do not have to walk alone.

Perfect Square Design was honoured to support this initiative, with proceeds going towards two meaningful causes. The event supported the Make Bullying History Foundation Limited, which works to help prevent bullying through education and research-backed programs. A portion of funds also provided direct financial relief to a local family after Nadia Forwood, a long-term connection within the studio community, unexpectedly lost her husband and later began treatment for cancer.


Refinery 24 reminded us that community support is personal. It is people showing up, giving what they can, and standing beside others when they need care, strength, and support. We were pleased to contribute to an initiative that brought the community together for a cause that truly matters.

Creating Opportunities for Students and Professional Mentorship


Perfect Square Design continues to support emerging architecture students by creating opportunities to experience real industry practice beyond the classroom.


We believe students benefit from seeing how design ideas move from concept to documentation, coordination, presentation, and real project outcomes. Through exposure to professional design practice, real project information, hands-on model making, mentoring, and industry guidance, students can build confidence and develop skills that support their future careers. For us, supporting students is part of contributing to the next generation of design professionals.


Our founder, Gilbert Sayegh, is also available to deliver practical sessions for strata groups, real estate teams, developers, and asset owners.


These sessions are designed to share practical insight around commercial design, development planning, project readiness, and early risk awareness, helping teams make more informed decisions before a project moves too far forward.

Catch Up With Us at the Business & Entrepreneurship Expo 2026


Big conversations often start in rooms where business, design, development, and community come together. Perfect Square Design is proud to participate in and sponsor the Business & Entrepreneurship Expo 2026, organised by the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce (CBCC).
